![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Vinegar and Char is an anthology of over fifty poets, spanning across two decades, all from a diversity of southern identities. Beasley resides in Washington, D.C., and teaches as part of the University of Tampa’s low-residency MFA program. She has won several prizes for her work, including the 2009 Barnard Women Poets Prize. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post Magazine, Oxford American, Creative Nonfiction, and the Wall Street Journal. She is the author of three poetry collections and Don’t Kill the Birthday Girl: Tales from an Allergic Life, a memoir and cultural history of food allergy.
